Client Requirements For A Mix
TOP 10 THINGS FOR SUBMITTING TRACKS
#1- Have your tracks numbered starting with 01 being the FIRST.
#2-Lable All Instruments, as in what they are. Drums, guitar, ect. John and Steve labeling will not work.
#3-Make the SAME track numbers/instrument for all songs. Don't have a guitar on track 1 on song one, and guitar on track 9 of song 2.
#4-Crossfades on ALL edits.
#5-1 additional DRY track for stringed instruments like bass/guitar. A Direct Input DRY signal track. (if applicable)
#6-Consolidate ALL tracks being submitted starting at ZERO to ready for export.
#7-Once consolidated, export as a WAVE file @ the highest bit rate possible. If it was done @ 48Hz give me 48Hz, 192Hz then 192Hz.
#8-Add Tempo maps for each song and export as MIDI with MARKERS. (if applicable)
#9-Do NOT put all songs in 1 file. Separate them, and put them in 1 folder. Depending on size, zip.
#10-Decide WHO is doing all the editing before you start. Supply notes on alternate takes and DELETE all the rest.
This is a simple check list of things that are done BEFORE submitting tracks for a mix. It sure makes things EASIER at this end. If in fact Mixing is what is needed. I will do editing or what ever else is needed for additional fee.
I thank Glen Fricker for making the list so easy!
